About David Brooks

From an early age I've had a fascination for wild things and have always  been a keen wildlife watcher. As a child, inspired by Sir David Attenborough and Johnny Morris'  I built hides and watched the birds in our garden.

Later in life I  found I had a love of still photography; my first proper camera was a second hand Zenith E with which I learned camera techniques and film developing .

For much of my working life  I worked at the Haymarket Theatre in Leicester as a lighting technician, which taught me a lot about lighting but did not give me much time or opportunity  to engage with wildlife.

We spent our holidays in the countryside and saw what we could and took the occasional successful photo.

But now I have more time to get out, get wet and muddy, meet my fellow creatures and hopefully  over time to become a  Wildlife Photographer .

So here it is, my website which I hope you will enjoy.

Its very much a work in progress and I plan to add more content when I can.

I have been asked on occasion to produce some prints of my work and after much thought and procrastination have taken the plunge!

If you like a copy of any of my work please contact me where you can order  photos in print form.

All are professionally printed  on high quality A3 gloss paper with large borders .  Just select the print you would like.

Many thanks for visiting

Dave
